Canning apple pie filling is easier than you think! I'll show you how to make a delicious apple pie filling that you can either can or use to make an incredible apple pie!

IINGREDIENTS

apples sugar thermflo salt cinnamon cardamom ginger cloves water vanilla lemon juice

Peel, slice, and core the apples. Add to a bowl of  lemon water.

Whisk ingredients until combined then add the cold water.

Add vanilla & lemon juice. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, or until thickened.

Fold in drained apples and simmer over low heat for a few minutes until the apples are warm.

Ladle hot filling into hot sterilized jars. Leave a 1" headspace to allow room for expansion.

Wipe rims with a damp cloth. Add lids and hand-tighten the rings.

Carefully lower the jars into the hot water. Once the water is boiling, set a timer for 20 min.

Confirm the jars are sealed before storing them.
