This sexy 3-step Cherry Reduction Sauce is prepared with dark cherries that are cooked down with shallots, sweet wine, and balsamic vinegar.

 Ingredients

olive oil shallots pitted cherries balsamic vinegar sweet red wine salt black pepper chipotle pepper  butter

Heat oil in a small pot, sauté the shallots until caramelized.

Add cherries, vinegar, and wine. Simmer the savory cherry sauce for twenty minutes so that it can reduce and thicken.

Season the sauce with salt, black pepper, and chipotle pepper (if using). Finally, swirl in the butter.

Serve this yummy sauce with pork, chicken, and my personal favorite...
