Instant Pot Ham Recipe

Simple, unglazed, Instant Pot Ham Recipe (with honey mustard sauce)

Equipment

  • 1 pressure cooker

Ingredients

  • ½ cup broth
  • ½ cup wine
  • 6 lb. Spiral (bone-in) ham

Instructions

  • Mix wine and broth and pour into Instant Pot. Place the trivet inside the Instant Pot and top with spiral-cut ham (flat side down). 
  • Add lid then seal Instant pot by turning the valve to the seal position. Select high pressure and adjust the cooking time for two minutes per pound, or 12 minutes for a six-pound ham.
  • Once the cooking time is done, let the ham rest for 5 minutes, then do a quick release to release the remaining pressure.
  • Serve with Honey Mustard Sauce on the side.

Notes

    • Don't forget to remove the plastic bone guard on the bottom of the ham before cooking it. I'm not speaking from experience.
    • If you need to, you can remove a few slices from the flat side of the ham to make it fit into your Instant pot.
    • Serve honey mustard sauce on the side, so that your guests can have the option of enjoying the ham plain (low carb), with dijon mustard, or topped with the honey mustard sauce.
    • Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze in freezer bags for longer storage.
