Authentic Santa Maria style dry rub seasoning.

  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary minced
  • 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)


  • Mix all the ingredients until thoroughly combined.
  • Use at once, or store in an airtight jar for later use. These quantities are enough for a 3-4 pound tri-tip roast.
  • If storing for later use, leave out the fresh rosemary and add prior to using.
