- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2+ cloves garlic (more garlic can be used)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
In a small bowl, combine mayo, crushed garlic, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and salt. Add freshly ground black pepper and mix to combine.
- Store homemade lemon garlic aioli in an air-tight container for up to a week in the refrigerator.
- Try mixing in some sriracha, tabasco, chopped jalapenos, or canned chipotle peppers to add a little heat to the sauce and use it as a spicy dip!
- To make other flavors of aioli you can add chopped chives, cilantro, parsley, basil, dill, lemon zest, or green onion.
- If you have a mortar and pestle you can use them to crush the garlic into the salt and then mix it with the other ingredients.
