Add Tajin seasoning on the rim of the glass by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping the glass in the Tajin seasoning. Set aside until needed.
Mix tequila, tamarind syrup, fresh lime juice, and crushed ice in a cocktail shaker and shake until combined.
Pour margarita mix into the prepared margarita glass, garnish with a slice of lime, and enjoy!
Notes
If you prefer, you can use tamarind paste instead of making tamarind syrup. The only drawback is that you will need to add syrup or orange liqueur to sweeten the drink. This step is not necessary when using tamarind syrup since it's well.... syrup.
