If you love pumpkin cheesecake but can never find the time to bake one you'll think this pumpkin cream cheese dip is to die for! 👻 For those of you looking for delicious no-bake Halloween treats you've got to try this pumpkin dip with ginger snaps, along with my mom's no-bake pumpkin pie!

pumpkin cream cheese dip with pepitas and ginger snaps

Last week marked the first official day of fall, although as far as I'm concerned, September 1st is the first day of "spooky season", whether the San Diego weather agrees with me or not.

Now that autumn is officially in swing, I'm starting it off right with this delicious pumpkin dip recipe. I love hosting parties and when I do I try to find quick and easy recipes.

Baking has never been where I shine in the kitchen, so I'm all about no-bake Halloween treats! If you're like me you have to try this really fun chocolate Halloween bark, these pumpkin spice truffles, and this spooky charcuterie board!

    🧐 Why This Recipe Works

    • This easy pumpkin dip recipe tastes like pumpkin cheesecake but can be made in a matter of minutes!
    • You probably have a lot of these ingredients lying around the house, in which case you'll only need to buy a few additional ingredients.
    • This dip is great for sharing and perfect for parties.
    • You can prepare this dip ahead of time and store it in the fridge until you're ready to serve it.

🛒 What You Need To Make This Recipe

    🔖 Recipe Ingredients And Substitutions

    • Cream cheese: For a healthier alternative, you can try using vanilla Greek Yogurt.
    • Cool whip: I haven't personally tried this, but I think cheesecake pudding mix would also work, although the texture may end up a little different.
    • Brown sugar: You can also try sweetening with powdered sugar, honey, or pure maple syrup.
    • Toffee Bits: You can leave these out or use chopped walnuts or pecans instead.
    • Pepitas: These are optional.
    • Gingersnaps: You can use other cookies like Biscoff, Nilla Wafers or graham crackers. Alternatively, you could also try apple slices, pretzels, or any of your favorite dippers.

    🤷🏻‍♀️ Recipe FAQs

What goes with pumpkin cream cheese dip?

There are lots of things to eat along with pumpkin dip! Cookies like ginger snaps, Biscoff lotus cookies, graham crackers, and vanilla wafers all work really well with the dip. You can also experiment with less obvious dippers like apple slices, pretzels, or celery!

How do you spice up canned pumpkin?

Canned pumpkin can be used for a wide variety of dishes, but it probably works best with sweets. Typically when making desserts with canned pumpkin puree you will end up adding cinnamon, cloves, sugar, nutmeg, allspice, and ginger.

    👩🏻‍🍳 Pro Tips

    • Make sure you're using pumpkin puree, rather than pumpkin pie filling.
    • Try the dip with different dippers like apple slices, vanilla wafers, pretzels, etc.
    • You can leave the dip out to enjoy for several hours but leftovers should be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
    • For other fall treats, try these yummy cake mix pumpkin muffins.
