I don't know about you, but Fall is my favorite time of year! But before we discuss Fall Recipes, let's talk about the chill in the air, the possibility of rain (when in San Diego), and the beauty of the changing leaves (when in Montana)! I Love them all, don't you?
Besides decorating for Halloween and Thanksgiving, Fall means making delicious food which I reserve for this time of year. Some I hold off making by choice, for example, Caramel Apples. Sure I can make them in Spring, but it just doesn't seem right, does it?
Other recipes I can't make before Fall because the fruit is not available before then, at least not in the U.S. This includes recipes that use figs, pumpkins, quince, pomegranates, and persimmons.
All this means I wait anxiously for Fall to make recipes like Fig Bread, Quince Paste, and Persimmon Preserves. So if you enjoy this beautiful time of year as much as I do, browse through my Fall Favorites and see what jumps out at you!
And when you do try the recipes, don't forget to tag #hildaskitchenblog in your posts. Now, go have a Pumpkin Spice Latte!
