🤷🏻♀️ Recipe FAQs
Lemon coriander soup is made up of fresh lemon juice, broth, vegetables such as cabbage, carrots, onions, and coriander leaves (cilantro). Sometimes chicken is added to the soup as a source of protein.
In the US, we refer to the leaves and stems of the Coriandrum sativum plant as "cilantro", but we call the seeds "coriander seeds". In other countries, however, they are both simply referred to as "coriander". Ultimately, coriander and cilantro are the same thing!
👩🏻🍳 Pro Tips
- Garnish the soup with additional fresh coriander leaves or finely chopped garlic to add even more flavor!
- To make this recipe vegan, you can either omit the chicken or substitute it with tofu or your preferred vegan protein.
- Although this chicken lemon coriander soup tastes best when served fresh, you can store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
