You are going to love this light and fluffy air fryer quiche! It has a golden crust and is loaded with diced ham, broccoli, carrots, and plenty of cheese! It's filling enough as a meal or served for brunch with fig scones and huckleberry jam.

I got the idea for this air fryer quiche from my husband's cousin, Marguerite, who makes one of the best quiches I've ever had. Luckily, she shared the recipe with me, which I modified to make this recipe. Hers is cooked in the oven, but this one is prepared in an air fryer.
Why use an air fryer to cook a quiche? It's an energy-efficient alternative to baking and ideal for when it's too hot to use the oven.
I make mine in my Ninja Foodi, so cooking times may vary based on the air fryer you are using. Of course, it can also be prepared in the oven if that's what you prefer, so I will share directions for both cooking methods.

😍 Why You'll Love This Recipe
- This air fryer quiche recipe is an excellent option for breakfast, brunch, or a quick lunch.
- You can easily swap out the filling ingredients by adding your favorite veggies, cheeses, or meats.
- Quiche freezes well, which makes it great for meal planning.
🔖 Ingredients & Substitutions
- Pie Crust: I used a Pillsbury pie crust, but if you feel like making a homemade pie crust, you go!
- Cheese: A combination of Swiss cheese, cheddar, and pepperjack is used in this recipe. Or use feta cheese, Havarti, gruyere, or your favorite cheese!
- Eggs: Four medium eggs
- Cream: Heavy cream may substitute half and half.
- Veggies: I added carrots, broccoli, and some chives, but the chives floated to the surface, so the second time I prepared it, I left them out. Other great options include scallions, spinach, sautéed mushrooms, cauliflower, onion, serranos, or sun-dried tomatoes.
- Protein: This recipe has diced ham, but experiment with cooked and diced bacon or cooked crumbled sausage.
- Seasoning/Spices: Sea salt, white or black pepper, freshly ground nutmeg, garlic powder, sugar, and cayenne pepper.

Air Frying Instructions
Air fry quiche at 375°F for 20 minutes, then loosely cover with foil (without touching the quiche filling) and air fry for another 20 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 350°F and air fry for an additional 20 minutes or until the center is no longer jiggly and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes, then serve.
Baking Instructions
Bake in a preheated 425°F oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 300°F and continue baking for 50 to 60 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
🍽 Serving Suggestions
This air fryer quiche can be served on its own because it's pretty filling. However, you can also serve it with soup or salad. Pair it with broccoli crunch salad or swiss chard soup. Quiche can also be served for brunch with lemon blueberry scones and a watermelon salad.
🤷🏻♀️ FAQs
Yes, you can. The air fryer circulates hot air around the quiche, helping it to cook evenly with a golden top and tender center.
If baking a full-sized quiche, it can take approximately an hour to cook a quiche in an air fryer. If making mini quiches, or crustless ones, they can take approximately 20 minutes.
👩🏼🍳 Pro Tips
- If adding chives, be aware that they may float to the surface and be concentrated in the center of the quiche. For this reason, I'm leaving them as an optional ingredient.
- You may not need to use all the custard; don't overfill the pan. If you don't want to waste it, just scramble the remaining eggs in a pan.
- Be careful when adding the foil over the quiche. First, you don't want it to touch the surface of the quiche and mar the appearance. Secondly, you don't want the foil to touch the heating element in the lid, which could spark a fire.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze wrapped in aluminum foil, inside a freezer bag for up to 3 months.
